Library resources

We are excited to offer a small, yet growing library of different resourses to our students and families.  Below is a message from the CCA librarian, please download the permission form from the link below and return to school so your student may begin using the library.

 Library/Media Permission Form

Hello everyone! My name is Angie Gordy. I chair the library committee, and you can usually find me in the library or somewhere in the school. I would love it if all parents could visit the library to see what is available not only to the students but also to the students’ parents, grandparents, and CCA alumni.   You are welcome anytime during school hours and you can even time your visit to coincide with your student’s library class. Thanks to all of your donations, we have a wide selection of books and other items for this size of school, including DVD/VHS, CDs, audio books, games/puzzles, and a few craft kits. There is a separate area of teacher/parent resources to aid you and your student, including help with phonics, math, foreign language, etc. Hopefully you will soon be able to do an online search of the library’s inventory through the CCA website!

This year we will be limiting each student to no more than 2 items at any given time. If your child needs more than 2 items for a research paper, history/science fair project, etc., you may send a note to the library. We have over 5000 books in our library, both Christian and secular. Although we try to screen what enters our library, there may be times when something “slips through” that doesn’t meet CCA’s standards. If this happens, or if you have any other concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the library…feedback is welcome. You can reach me at 865-591-1134 or angie.gordy@gmail.com
