CCA School Closing Information

F For weather emergencies and school closings, CCA follows Knox County Schools. At that point, the day is designated as a home school day and families should follow the lesson plans given by the teacher. However, if Knox County Schools begin classes one hour late, CCA’s schedule will not change and classes will begin at 8:15 a.m. as usual. Parents should use their own discretion if weather conditions are dangerous where they live in deciding whether to drive to school. In the event of a school cancellation or delay, CCA will contact the following news agencies who will then post our school’s information on their websites and TV stations: WBIR-TV and WVLT-TV. WBIR has a program that allows text alert for school closings. Students and staff may sign up by using this link: http://www.wbir.com/news/mobile/text.aspx. If impending bad weather or other emergency situations develop during the class day, classes may be cancelled. If this situation occurs, students will be released to their parents or to persons listed on the emergency information sheet. A staff member will stay with students until everyone has been picked up.
